Charity Chanda Lumpa

Charity Lumpa is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the insurance, banking, tourism and telecommunication industries. Ms. Lumpa has previously held the positions of Managing Director of the then Zambia National Tourism Board, Ecobank Zambia Limited and Airtel Networks Zambia Plc. Her list of achievements include having successfully set up Ecobank Zambia Limited as a greenfield financial institution in 2008 and became its first Managing Director.

Ms. Lumpa is also the Chairman of the St. Ignatius College and is Vice Chairman of the Zambia National Advisory Board for Impact Investment Taskforce and of the Livingstone International University of Tourism Excellence and Business Management Board. She is an investment panelist of the Malawi Innovation Challenge Fund, an innovation and impact focused development fund. Ms. Lumpa is a past Board Chair and currently serves as a Director on the board of Prospero Limited, Air Namibia (where she is the Chairperson of the Audit Committee) and the government appointed project Board of the Women’s Bank Zambia Limited;

She is the Matron of the University of Zambia Business and Economics Association (UNZABECA), and the Hall of Fame mentor for the Push Women’s Network. Until recently, she was Vice President of the Business and Professional Women Zambia Association,

Ms. Lumpa holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (Finance), a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration, a postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management and in Technical and Vocational Teaching. In addition, she is certified under the University of Oxford Women in Leadership Transformation and the Open Doors accreditation for Directors of company boards sponsored by the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) of the UK. She has also been certified as an Executive Coach. Ms Lumpa is an Elder of the UCZ Trinity Church.
