Cecilia Zimba is a Chartered Accountant, a Fellow member of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA). She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration obtained from the Heriot Watt University. She is an experienced business leader with extensive professional experience and significant executive leadership accomplishments in business both international and local.
Ms. Zimba is an Independent non-Executive Director who has served on various Boards in both Public and Private Sector. She is the current Vice President of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) (the first female to hold this position since ZICA’s establishment) and is serving Board member of the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) and the Zambia Industrial Commercial Bank where she is Audit Committee Chairperson for both. She has previously served on the Boards of ZESCO, the Financial Intelligence Center (FIC), Professional Life Assurance Company (now Prudential Life Assurance). She has chaired Finance and Audit Committees of various Boards and has served as Taxation and Technical Committee Chairperson of ZICA.
Ms. Zimba has vast experience in Organisation Development, business set ups, business reviews and reengineering and has been engaged in several projects of mentoring and coaching. She has been involved with several Organisation Development projects and has a passion for offering business support services which include business re-engineering, systems designs, and business evaluations to make them more efficient and productive.
She has over 15 years’ experience in strategic management and has strong systems designs qualities. She has experience in other business disciplines which include Sales and Marketing, Human Resources, Company Secretarial Services and Facilities Management.
Ms. Zimba is an alumni of various universities and has undertaken several Post graduate studies in Business Leadership which include MIT GABV Leadership program, the Swedish Institute of Management Leadership Program, Cambridge University Institute for Sustainability Leadership and the Presencing Institute Impact Hub Leadership Program.
As part of her Social and Community responsibility, Ms. Zimba offers free professional services to both International and local Charities involved in Education of Children. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the Pestalozzi Education Center and the Roma Parish Academy. She is also a Trustee of the Zambia Young Women Christian Association (YWCA).
